FODP during last two years held four conferences in Tokyo, London, Abu Dhabi, and an annual of U.S. $4 billion was committed, but the pledges have remained unfulfilled and Pakistan has yet to receive any amount. European Union was expected to mitigate economic hardship through a package of concessions, including preferential market access for its products under GSP plus. Pakistan was disappointed on this score too.
